In the month after Easter, Anglican Churches across Australia are joining together to share their hope in Jesus. This nationwide initiative is called
Hope 25
St Swithun's is taking part too. We've planned a series of talks that will explore the great hope the Christian faith offers. All of our services will be tailored to make visitors especially welcome. There will be lots of food for thought and to eat.
Service will be the same as usual: 9:00am traditional, 10:30am contemporary for families and 6:00pm contemporary.
The Sermon Topics
11 May: Hope for the Despairing
18 May: Hope for the Stressed
25 May: Hope for the Lonely
1 June: Hope for the Ageing (that's all of us!)
We'd love to welcome you to any of these services. If you'd like a friendly church member to be looking out for you and/or sit beside you, please contact Andy on 0415 455 314 or by email at andy@swiz.org.au
Hope Explored Course
Are you looking for hope, peace, or a fresh perspective on life?
The Hope Explored course offers a relaxed and informal way to explore the Christian faith. Over three sessions, we’ll look at the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus—the source of lasting hope for our world. Whether you're new to church, curious about Christianity, or just want to revisit the foundations of your faith, Hope Explored is a welcoming space to ask questions and discover how Christianity offers real hope for life now and forever.
You won’t be asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and there's no pressure to say anything unless you want to. Just come as you are, bring your questions, and explore life’s biggest themes—hope, peace, and purpose—with others on the journey. Everyone is welcome!
