Roger has led the team since 1996. Although Roger grew up in the Pymble area he has studied at Regent College in Vancouver, Canada and at Oxford and has ministered in country NSW. He is married to Sue and has four adult children. He loves reading, boating, and enjoys the company of others.
Nigel is an assistant minister and leads our 5pm family service. Nigel studied at Queen’s University Belfast and All Nations College, England and, among other things, has served as a missionary in Spain. He is married to Delia and they have two daughters. His interests include bush-walking, swimming and art.
Brian is an assistant minister and leads our Nightlife congregation. Originally from Perth, Brian met his wife Kate while training at Moore College. After college he gained wide-ranging parish experience serving as assistant minister in St Peter’s, Hornsby.
An ordained minister, Kate has worked as a teacher and a school chaplain. She is looking forward to using her gifts in helping to lead our women’s ministry and Nightlife congregation and coordinating our home groups and training programmes.
Becky joined the staff at St Swithun’s in 2006 and is now our Families Minister. She leads the weekly Mainly Music playgroup and the pupil-free Swizbang events that have proved so popular with local families. Becky is married to Fred and they have 3 young children.
A trained primary school teacher, Amy is currently studying at Moore College. She loves being our part-time Student Minister because it brings together her love for Jesus, kids and teaching. Among other things, Amy likes to cook, read and hang out with family and friends.
Chris coordinates the partnership between St Swithun’s and the Gowrie Anglican retirement village in Gordon. She is also heavily involved in our monthly Blessed Assurance services and Thursday Lunch Club and in welcoming people to our weekly 8am Sunday services.
Fran is responsible for co-ordinating pastoral care across all four congregations in the parish. In her free time, Fran loves spending time with her children and grandchildren and getting in a round of golf when she can.
Joanna is a medical scientist by day and a musician by night. She has been involved in church bands for many years and co-ordinates the music at our two evening services. As well as music and science, she loves God, people, words and being outdoors.
Kristine is our Office Manager and works Monday to Thursday in our Church office.
Vivien is our Administrative Assistant and works in the church office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Philip is our Choir Director. A man of many talents, Philip stepped down from his role as Director of Music at Barker College to run his family hairdressing business.
Peter is our organist.
Ruth is a qualified counsellor with many years of experience. She is available by appointment on Wednesdays in our Church Ministry Centre at 4a Merrivale Road. For more details click here.
